OUR STORY - WE LOVE SMALL TOWNS

When I was in 5th grade, my family moved from Fort Worth to the small town of Cooper, Texas—and I quickly fell in love with small-town life. Friday night lights, festivals on the town square, and a church on every corner.

In junior high, my summers were spent riding bikes around town with friends. And when the Texas heat got to us, we’d cool off at Miller’s Pharmacy with old-fashioned milkshakes, root beer floats, and the occasional purple cow.

Small towns are special places. They’re built on community, relationships, and local businesses that have served generations.

But today, many small towns across Texas are growing—and with that growth comes change. Large chain restaurants and big-box stores are moving in, and new residents often don’t know the local businesses that have been there all along. Without a strong online presence, those small, family-owned businesses can easily get overlooked.
